I admit it. I’ve completely neglected to write about any of the topics from the Post A Week Challenge. I could say that I don’t want to write on those topics. I could even complain and say that I don’t really like many of them. But rather than being so negative about it, I realize that they are out-of-the-box topics for me that will ultimately help me become a better writer.
I typically don’t talk about controversial topics, keeping my thoughts, ideas, and questions to myself. But this past summer, I took a Principles of Speech class and my professor made me vow that I will not hold back my thoughts from the world. So… I guess this is the best place to start, through writing about these topics. Practice makes perfect right? Congrats to all those that have been faithfully posting every week! Let me ask you, what motivates you to write?
On Friday, my graduation pictures arrived. Now I’m just waiting on my announcements. I’m so excited! Graduation day is drawing near, but I’m far from being any less worried about reaching my goal, especially since I’m STILL waiting on my financial aid to come through and I don’t have any other alternative to pay for this last bit of my tuition. I’m starting to get pissed at yet another obstacle being thrown in my way. My boyfriend says everything will be okay, because things usually work out magically for me. Let’s hope that’s still the case.
You know what store is really stepping up their fashion game? Sears. Yes, I know you’re thinking “What? Who shops at Sears?” Last weekend, I did. I don’t know how long they’ve had this UK Style by French Connection line, but I LIKE it! I just bought the line’s strech lace pocket tee in navy for less than $18 and it’s a lovely addition to my wardrobe. I’ll definitely be hitting up Sears more often now.
I also purchased an awesome dress from Forever21 (awhile ago) in Olive and my boyfriend surprised me with another one in Black. It’s a great dress for casual outtings and can also be dressed up too. I’ve finally found the perfect LBD. Last, but not least I recently thrifted this cute little leopard pring Nine West bag.
